GPS Logger

Olfish-DDL includes a standalone GPS logger utility, which runs independently from Olfish-DDL. This utility, once the computer has been connected to a GPS receiver, records vessel movements continuously at adjustable time intervals. Vessel movements are recorded, regardless of whether Olfish-DDL is activated or not.

The GPS logger, once integrated with the Olfish-DDL, can act in many ways as an alternative to a VMS system. Since it tracks vessel movements continuously, it can save and transmit GPS data and have the added advantage of an integrated, EU compliant, Elog system as well. The GPS-Logger can track zone crossings automatically, provide the user with a “warning” and populate the relevant fields as required by some of the reports.
