Fishing Consultant

The Fishing Consultant is a unique predictive tool that advises the skipper where to go fishing, based on a variety of environmental data and previous months or years fishing performance.

Fleet Activity Optimiser

The Fleet Activity Optimiser aids fishing managers in optimally scheduling vessels’ time and destinations at sea to meet specific objectives. Olfish can manage a fleet of many vessels, fishing in multiple areas, for several species of fish, one of which will usually be identified as the primary target species.

Auto-Scale Module

Olfish includes an auto-scale data logger utility which incorporates the data obtained from mechanical scales (including: species, weight, grade and processed catch data). The data received from the scale is sent to a computer by either a TCP/IP network connection or a standard RS232 communications port. Olfish currently caters for four different industry-standard scales (NESCO, Pols, Scanvaegt and Marel).

Other Utilities

• Stock Manager – a monitoring utility that tracks the movement of fish products from the fishing vessel to the storage area.
• Crew Commission Calculator – enables skippers to calculate crew remuneration based on catch value.
• Quota Manager – monitors catch quotas and graphically displays quota quantities.
• Catch Predictor – useful and easy tool which calculates the time it will take to catch a specified quantity of fish based on the latest vessel fishing performance.
• Multi-note Taker - captures data in the form of text, sound, pictures
  and even video.
• Inspector - allows compliance agents to extract catch data stored in Olfish. This is a password protected utility.
• Change Control – tracks changes made to data stored in the DDL.
• Auto-Scale Module – connects Olfish to all leading brands of
  automatic scales and electronically transfers data from the scales into the Olfish database.
